Identity Hub (KYC & KYB)

Unified customer identity management across fiat and crypto rails with BYO-provider support.

Identity Hub turns identity verification from multiple specialist vendors into a single, canonical identity per customer. Whether you run KYC checks through Depa’s built-in providers, upload documents via the API, or bring your own existing KYC/KYB vendor contracts, The Watch enforces the resulting compliance profile across every account and payment rail.

Identity Verification Lifecycle

Step 1
Initiation

Retail or Corporate request

Step 2
Pending Check

Sanctions & biometric checks

Step 3
Verified

All banking rails enabled

  1. Initiation: Create an identification for a person (KYC) or a company (KYB). It starts as initiated.
  2. Document Submission: Either send the customer to Depa's hosted verification flow, submit their details through the API, or import an identity you've already verified.
  3. Verification: Depa screens the identity. It ends up approved, rejected, or attention when Depa needs to review it manually.
  4. Activation: Accounts linked to an approved identification can use bank accounts, blockchain wallets and payments. If you later block the identification, every linked account is blocked and an account_locked webhook is sent.

1. Hosted Verification

Start a KYC (kyc) or KYB (kyb) flow and send your customer to the returned URL:

Request

curl -X POST https://sandbox.depasify.com/api/v1/identifications/create_identify_process \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer <your_jwt_token>" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
    "type": "kyc",
    "external_id": "customer-4821"
  }'

Response

{
  "data": {
    "url": "https://sandbox.depasify.com/en/25d1a676-14d1-4ee5-8b63-c1cfb3e1b187"
  }
}

For KYB, the response also includes generated_password, which the company uses to sign in to the KYB form.

2. Soft KYC

Submit a person's or company's details directly, for Depa to review manually:

curl -X POST https://sandbox.depasify.com/api/v1/identifications/soft_kyc \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer <your_jwt_token>" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
    "kind": "person",
    "name": "Marcus",
    "surname": "Vance",
    "birthdate": "1988-06-14",
    "email": "marcus.vance@example.com",
    "address": "Calle de Alcalá 42",
    "city": "Madrid",
    "country": "ES",
    "document_type": "NATIONAL_ID",
    "document_number": "12345678Z"
  }'

For a company, send "kind": "company" with name, company_number, email, phone and the registered address.

3. Importing Existing Verified Identities

If you already verify your customers with your own KYC/KYB provider, import the verified identity by your own ID. Depa has to enable imports for your vault first:

curl -X POST https://sandbox.depasify.com/api/v1/identifications/import_identity \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer <your_jwt_token>" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
    "external_uuid": "016aba24-5d22-4008-b7ed-0c77bbe044c6"
  }'

The import creates both the identification and its account. See Identifications in the API reference for every endpoint, including blocking and unblocking.
